24-bit DAC this is my sound card on my laptop HP Compaq nx6325, how can i switch it the sound card on i have tried so many ways but unfortunately!
How do you turn on your soundcard? First you need to make sure you have ALSA installed. Make sure you've also either compiled the drivers for your card into your kernel, or you need to install alsa-drivers package. After that run alsaconfig. It should find your card and configure it for you if you installed the correct drivers. After that run alsamixer and make sure your card is not muted. Thats it. Good luck!
