installing D-link DE-650 ethernet card on Red Hat 7

Hello:

I try to instal the D-link DE-650 ethernet card. I've read it's fully compatible with red hat.

I downloaded this but it says:

pcmcia/version.h doesn't exist file or directory

and that's with all the other .h files

It's a .C file.

any idea?

You've already got the pcnet_cs module onboard, there's no need to compile it, especially since the source code there is for pcmcia-cs modules while you have onboard kernel pcmcia modules. They used to be in a seperate package, they're not anymore, and you're looking at the source code for the old package.

First, I'm surprised that the module isn't getting loaded right off the bat.

What's the output of:

/sbin/cardctl ident

And:

/sbin/lsmod

thanks Well it seems it's already working................. what I did is to copy it into the bin dir................ thanks a lot anyway!!! it took me lots of hours of sleep!
