In Fedora 11 system no longer "knows" ipod is an ipod
Ever since upgrading my system no longer knows my iPod shuffle is an iPod. It just loads it up as a removable media device. I know this from the icon, from the fact that it opens up the folders like when I load in removable media, and because Rhythmbox, gPodder, and Amarok (heard from someone else) doesn't know that it's there.
Is there something somewhere I need to toggle to get the system to realize it's an iPod again?
I don't know, when I had one my system never registered it as an ipod, I just had to mount it to /mnt/ipod and I used gtkpod to transfer files. Really the only way that I remember the system knowing it's an ipod is from the song database...
OK. A bit of work here. First of all, there's a bug about this in Fedora. Looks like it concerns podslueth, not sure if that only affects Banshee or not. My iPod is actually mounting to /mnt/1upmushroom (the name of my device). I wonder if I just need to tell hal or w/e that that's my ipod?
Here's the interesting thing about the fact that Fedora doesn't "know" it's an iPod.

It says "usb 1-2: Product: iPod". Still, I wonder if it has soemthing to do with the mount point. Anyone who has any ideas, please chime in.

make it mount to /mnt/ipod if I remember correctly that's where most ipod programs look
