Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

I/O error: disk or driver fault?

Hi,

I got a situation when a disk leavs raid1 array because of I/O error. However, I can reconstruct the array manually (mdadm --add /dev/md2 /dev/sdb1) without errors.

Can it be a driver problem? Thanks in advance for any comments! I run RH9 on an old Compaq Proliant box.
