Start a new thread for a new problem and give the thread a descriptive title.

Great.
It would be nice to know what the solution to your problem actually was,
as it would be helpful to others that may have a similar problem.
(searching forums)
Was it UEFI related?

Start a new thread with the network driver issue.
Posting the output from
lspci -vnn | grep -i ethernet;lsmod
in the new thread would be helpful.
