Does this work for most things, or is it supertux spacific?

I think I am going to have to recompile the kernal. The module to load the joystick wasn't availiable currently. The joystick didn't even show up in /proc (assuming I was looking in all the right places )

Why didn't I think of this before. If js-1 is required then

"ln -s /dev/input/js0 /dev/input/js-1"

This seems to fix the problem (at least for supertux)

I still don't understand why it was looking for js-1 in the first place.
