How to find what server hardware type.

Hi All,

I have question related to branded servers hardware. Assume Linux is installed in a HP/IBM/Dell hardware and the servers are in a remote location. And you are connected to a server thru ssh/telnet. How to find in which server hardware the OS is installed. Is there any command to find the hardware type?

Thanks.

Maybe dmidecode??? Works on most system but not all. It is normally installed as part of the installation with the Red Hat Linux family;

Maybe the command; lspci -v
Maybe the command: cat /proc/modules

What are you looking for???
