how to auto powerdown at shutdown (slackware9.0)

Windows turns my computer off when I shut it down. Redhat and SuSE linux do the same, however, my slackware 9.0 only prints the final line 'Power Down' and then i have to manually turn the power off. Is there a way to configure the shutdown process in slackware so that it automatically powerdowns the computer when i choose to shut it down?

Thanks.

What you need to do, I think, is to edit the /etc/rc.d/rc.modules file. Look for a line that says:
#/sbin/modprobe apm
Remove the #, reboot and you should be fine.
