Hello,
I'm having a slight problem that is beginning to drive me a little crazy. I
am trying to print photos, which is something that I never did before. And
notice horizonal lines on every pass of the print head. Almost as if the paper
is advancing just a hair to far between passes causing a gap between the
printed passes.
I'm using the latest version of foomatic, pnm2ppa, and the pdd file from linux
printing. The bands only come with color printing.
I've double checked the alignment and the colorsheer settings are correct along
with having version 722 set in pnm2ppa. Additionally, I've changed ColOffsX,
ColOffsY, and colorshear to both their highest and lowest possible settings
printing a test page with each change and noticed no difference between the
printed output.
I'm not sure what to try next, and I'm not 100% sure which part of the printing
process to look at, either cups, foomatic or pnm2ppa. I did test that this
does not happen under windows just in case it's bad cartridge.
Any hints would be wonderful. I'd hate to have to boot into windows just to
print out a picture of my kids.
Thanks,
Brian
