High power consumption checklist for SBC?

I am testing a Lattepanda Delta 3 and it is using much more power than it's predecessor device the original Delta. This is with Windows and Linux unfortunately.

I have gone into the bios and disabled the onboard Arduino and the wifi and ethernet and set the cpu to powersave governor but power usage is still unusually high.

I worry I have made a mistake in getting this to use with battery power. The previous device was marginal enough on battery. I won't be using it plugged in because it is too expensive to do what a flea market computer can do.

I have added a cellular m.2 card. Do those usually use a lot of power? I figured it would use less power than a USB cellular device.

I am waiting on an email back from Lattepanda support. I will update this as I receive any information. I was really hoping to put this device into operation but things like this always pop up.

It turns out that power usage is maybe slightly higher than the original Delta and a little less than the Alpha. The extra draw was caused by the battery drawing power to recharge after being loaded up with many USB devices. It was also caused by the USB devices themselves in steady state draw compared to the control which had less USB devices attached. It also is caused by cpufreq running the CPU at around 700 mhz minimum speed instead of 400 mhz. All this can eventually be accounted for so there is no real problem here.
