HELP with U.S. Robotics external modem


I have an U.S. Robotics external modem model 5686e. I have tied to use it in feodra core 4. I setup the modem using minicom to use dev/ttyS0... but when I use kppp it pratically freeze kppp. Where I can find a init strings for this modem?

I created mine from info in the manual - an html file on the
install CD (Windows, of course), found at
file:///mnt/cdrom/Manuals/56KModem/US/index.html
I'm running Slack, so your mount point for your CD-ROM
might be different than /mnt/cdrom.

If you need specific info, I can look it up (assuming you picked
up the modem used without a CD).
