heatsink/CPU fan dimension

Hya,

I am looking for "heatsink/CPU fan" dimension for several intel CPU's.

Currently, I am making (assembling??) a system using an unused mini-ITX box.

When I did last time, heatsink/CPU fan was too tall (Core2) to fit in. (hit power supply...)

This time, I'd like to avoid the same situation.

Looking around the web, intel does not seem to publish these info... several threads about the possibility of swapping heatsink/CPU fan module...

The dimension of third party CPU fan is available, but not the one which comes with CPU...

Does anybody know where to look?

cheers

The dimensions for those heatsinks change over time, I have seen several differently dimensioned heatsinks shipped with CPUs of the same TDP class (and even the same CPU). I would recommend to go for an aftermarket cooler anyways, especially in cases that are much smaller than usual, like mini-ITX cases.
