Fedora? Most probably yes.
You don't say what kind of hard drive/controller you're using. FC9 is old...the latest is FC12, which deals with things like SATA drives much better than 9 did.
My first suggestion would be to load an up-to-date version of the OS. If you HAVE to use FC9 (which is several years out of date), post back with the brand/model of your drive controller hardware and drives, and we can try to help.
hey.. thanks for posting ur reply.. By the way, i doing a project using cell sdk3.0, its compatible onl till FC9, thats the reason why i am going for this version of FC.. i am using SATA SEAGATE... and disk controller! sorry.. i don't get it.. can u explain me in detail??

Spell out your words, please.
FC9 SATA support wasn't that great...FC12 will install correctly, and work better. I'm guessing you mean the Cell clustering software? There are versions beyond 3.0, that support the latest versions of Linux, on several different platforms. Update the SDK.
Without knowing the MODEL (as I mentioned in my first response), of your disk controller, we can't know which kernel module you'll have to load. Even at that, you'll have to get another FC9 system, compile the correct module on it, burn it to disk/USB drive/etc., then install the driver manually when you build your other system.
