Hardware Failover configuration

Hi All,

I would like to test hardware failover in our two identical machine with RHLAS3 Kernal 2.4.21-15, without any application running on it.

I just want that if any user open session in linux no-1 machine and when we power off this machine user user remain in dont loss their session auto log with no-2 machine.

AS i am new in linux world, and one of my customer require to test that our machine is failover proven.

Waiting for your responce and suggestion.

Thanks

I'm no expert, but I'm not sure this is possible. At the very least, I would think you have to reconnect because if you're working on one server, they can't be instantaneously updated and I'm not sure the connection can be transferred because one server won't have authenticated the user...
