Hard locks caused by hardware conflicts
I have a Fedora Core 3 box running with a PCI Interrupt card (adlink pci7248) and a reflective memomry communications card for an IIOC IO Chassis.
When both cards are installed _and_ in use, the system goes into a full lock and will not respond on anything except a pull of the power. At first, these lockups happened every time the IO system was written to. I disabled the onboard serial and paralell ports and the lockups dropped to about one every 30 minutes of constant use. However, when either one of the cards is installed without the other, the system works wonderfully.
We have other identical boxes with the same interrupt card and have never locked up in the many months they have been running.
Thanks for any help!
