Hello all. I have an odd problem here...running Mandriva 2009 Kde 4 for a couple of months now, and all of the sudden about two weeks ago I noticed that the 450GB partition I have for my home directories was almost full, which was strange, because there isn't that much in there. When I added everything up, it was like 200GB just disappeared. Looking at the partitions, everything is normal. So I went through and deleted almost everything, and there was still a lot of space missing, actually more. When I shut the machine down last night it said I only had 180GB free on the partition, even though I should have had about 415. Now when I turned it on today, it tells me I only have 120GB free. I have done some research and found that this problem is semi-frequent, but I have found no possible solutions. You would never know that anything is wrong with the system, it runs perfectly fine. It just keeps losing space.

I would boot a live Linux CD and perform an fsck on the partition.
