hard drive and raid problem-help

hi. i am trying to install raid on my gigabyte ga-7dxr+ board, but the operating system and bios does not recognize my drives. i have set up the raid array0, i have both drives conntected to the raid controllers on the motherboard and each set on master. after setting up the raid array, i ran fdisk and partitioned the array, still no drives recognized. now i am formatting the array and hope the drives will be recognized. if not , i am sort of lost on how to fix this problem . thanks ron

are you trying to load the modules for it or is it built into the kernel?

its built into the operating system , red hat 7.3. you configure it at the time of patitioniong .i cannot get no boot loader to work . install okay, just can boot it for some reason.
