Good "Linux-compatable" hardware for a server

Hi, I am about to build a small business server (not corporate level), and am going to put FC4/5 on it. However I'm trying to decide what hardware to use. I keep on going for the high-end stuff (like DFI stuff) cause thats what I mainly use, but I just need hardware that'll work. Here are some requirements:

Must have SATA (preferably SATA II)
Must have Dual 100/1000T Network ports (pref. 1000.)
Must have a decent processor (current technology, but not an opteron (well maybe a low end one) or xeon)

I was originally thinking of using a mini-itx pc because of their small size, however I can't get the features I want (mainly the dual NIC).

Might put it in 2U rackmount case (just to make it even more server-ie.

Anyone got any ideas? buck

You could check the kernel modules to make sure it supports your requirements and it will give some hints on what brands to use.

Can't go too wrong with amd64 (dual core?) and nvidia chipset... Tho you may need a card plugged in to get the dual gig nic...

Well all the A64 Skt939 board I've seen have dual gig nic, actually a low end opteron isnt too expensive, so I might go with that
