GMA X3100 and Suse 10.2

Hey guys,

got a new laptop at work, and im the process of switching it to linux. the biggest glitch, is the graphics are stuck at 800x600. its a dell vostro with a 965gm chipset. its using vesa framebuffer, and it doesnt allow me to change anything.

any help is appreciated, and willing to pay for it if necessary. if i can get my laptop 100% on linux, then the whole office will switch to it.

If it is a new computer why suse 10.2 and not suse 10.3
With a new computer the change of success is biggest with the latest version
Even suse 11 is out in 2 weeks

all the best
