Getting Radeon 9200 VIVO to work with V4L?
I've been trying to get my Gigabyte Radeon 9200 VIVO to work with v4l for a few days now.
I downloaded the km, drm-kernel, and ati.2 from gatos, gatos.sourceforge.net. I downloaded the binaries for XFree 4.2.0 (I'm running Debian testing with XFree 4.2.1), and later the CVS versions of drm-kernel and km.
I installed drm-kernel as instructed, then worked on km, but every time I try a "make test" I get "device not found". I stumbled upon a site regarding the Radeon 9200 and Redhat 9.0, users.actrix.co.nz/michael/radeon9200.html, and it looks like v4l should work, based on what I've read, but I'm getting nothing.
I've also tried the ATI binary drivers with the same problem (it's my understanding that using ati.2 or the binary drivers is irrelevant to getting v4l to work). I can get DRI to work with both drivers easily, but I cannot get the km module to load at all. Any thoughts?
