Getting Internet with Adapter USB0 RJ45?

Hi,

On a Debian stable, I plug this device, and I get :

ifconfig usb0

Note that dmesg and lsusb sees it. fortunately.

dhclient usb0 does not react.

If I do
Code:
ifconfig usb0 192.168.1.20
,
and then dhclient usb0

kernel 2.6.32

ping www.google.com still does not work

not Host it says.

What is to be done please?

regards

Hi:

I'm not the expert but I (think) that you may need a driver for the rj45 or a router-

Here are a few websites that cover this particular usb device:

http://www.techrepublic.com/forum/qu...o-connectivity
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=65839

USB 10/100 ethernet network LAN adapter RJ45 Full-speed USB interface to desktop PCs and notebooks

Hope this helps.
