Question fedora core installer doesn't recognize my sata drive

I just assembled a new rig with e6400 and gigabyte ds3 mobo. I got windows to intall fine but when I try to install fedora 5/6 the installer doesn't recognize my sata drive. I know that it is something to do with the controller itself and the JMicron but is there someone who got this problem figured out.

e6400 must be the intel core duo E6400 ... The mobo is this one: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/...ProductID=2314

Make sure you have enabled AHCI in BIOS.
You may try entering "linux all-generic-ide irqpoll pci=nommconf" at the boot: prompt. If your BIOS gives you a "legacy" option or a "sata1" option, you may prefer to use that. (Unless you need 3Gb/s)
