Fedora Core 3 disables IRQ #10 which is used by NIC
Hi all,
I've been having problems activating my NIC (D-Link DFE-530TX+ with Realtek 8139 chipset) after installing FC3. I'm pretty sure that it isn't a network issue, but rather a hardware problem. While booting up, FC3 gives me the "Disabling IRQ #10" message. I didn't think much of it until I discovered that my NIC is tied to IRQ 10. I'm guessing this is what is causing my NIC not to activate. This leads me to believe that I either (a) need to get my NIC to use a different IRQ, or (b) prevent FC3 from disabling IRQ 10 if I want my NIC to work.
