Fedora and ESS1869

Hi All,

I'm new in this forum.

I've got a trouble while configuring the Fedora Core 3 with sound card.

I've a Compaq Armada 1750 and the sound card is an ESS1869...

First I was use mandrake 9.2 and I havn't got much problem configuring sound card.

I set up the bios in the follow mode

I/O range to 0x0230-0x0237
IRQ 5
DMA0
DMA1
I/O Range 0x0220-0x022F
I/O Range 0x0388-0x038B
I/O Range 0x0330-0x0331

and with mandrake no problem.

But I'm not able to set it up with fedora.

I try to use alsaconf but it save all the cnfiguration in /etc/modules.conf and Fedora use /etc/modprobe.conf

Can someone help me, please?

P.S.: Sorry for my bad english, I'm an italian boy.

Thanks
