I have a external HD I would like to install for lunchtime backup. I have redhat linux 9 installed on my server. How would I even start? I am a begginer trying to find out the hype on Linux. Thank you

Have a look at this example of adding a USB external drive.

If you have more questions, and you probably will, add some more information, such as the type of drive and you hardware and software configurations. Also how you plan on using the hardware.

It is difficult to help when you tell us so little.
