Hi all!

I hope you folks can help me out on this tricky problem:
I have recently installed SuSE 10.1 on a friend's Sony Vaio FX-401 laptop and all is working fine and happy (and far better than the supplied Windows XP - no surprises there, then!) exept for the external DVD burner.

The DVD/CD burner is linked via USB and shows up under "My Computer". The system can access it and read from it just fine, but the problem occurs when trying to write to a blank disk. Again, SuSE can see the blank disk, all the entries are correct for the K3b burner program, then click "burn", and the whole thing freezes, then crashes. The crash handler says the following:
