error: 'I2C_CLASS_TV_DIGITAL' undeclared (first use in this function)

I want to install
Quote:
Pinnacle PCTV Hybrid Pro Stick 340e
video capture card driver on my ubuntu
Quote:
2.6.38-8-generic
I got the driver from here: http://kernellabs.com/hg/~dheitmueller/pctv-340e-2/

though, I do not need the tv part, I only need to capture camera with this driver.

when I go for make all-
I get this error:
Quote:
error: 'I2C_CLASS_TV_DIGITAL' undeclared (first use in this function)
I want to know if it is possible to install this driver on kernel 2.6.38, moreover, any helps to solve the bug would be appreciable.

updated:
the kernel chosen in the systems is 3.x.x, it must be. So, is there any way to solve the problem?

Sounds to me like you need to install some core files, that maybe are found in the TV part.
Install the TV part too - even though you dont need it.
