I have Ubuntu and Debian , both with this printer, the epson fx-880
unfortunally, I dont have drivers for it. the only driverI found on the internet its called OMNI.
I dont know how to install it, Iam newbie, its kind of difficult.
any help ??? somebody with the some printer ???? or kind a ?
You should be able to use a generic, text-only driver, as that's all the FX-880 can do. When you install the printer, you should see text-only drivers out there. Use one of those.
the text only driver for this printer does not allow me to print in custom paper sizes... in non-standards sizes.
thats my problem.
also , if I used Text only drivers, if I want to print the file TEST.TXT that only contains "TESTING STRING" string , my printer will print ok , but the paper, wont go out the printer, I have to manually pul it out (with the printer button for that)
