enabling DRI disables sound

hello again.
Once i had enabled my soundcard (SB-Live Value) i could no longer use DRI (voodoo5 agp)
then once i had enabled DRI i could no longer use sound
If this is an IRQ issue, how would i resolve it. i've tried uninstalling the soundcard and putting it back in a new slot, and that apparently didn't work, so what can i do within linux or the BIOS (tyan trinity) to fix this?

What error messages are you getting when you try either device?

some bioses allow you to assign irq's to certain
slots.

i've fixed the problem.. i dont exactly know how but it did so it's all good =)
