DVB-S PCI card questions.

My old irdeto receiver is dying and I wonder if I am not better off buying a DVB-S PCI card rather than buying a new receiver but, knowing nothing on the subject, what I read on the net confuses me.

What I want is to be able to watch satellite TV from Optus Aurora, and, from now on, watch it also from Selectv (both pay TV in Australia), their encoding is irdeto and I have valid subscription cards for both. I would prefer whatever I buy is also suitable for HD TV. And if possible, I'd like to watch it on the flat screen monitor of the computer (19" SyncMaster 940n).

Q1) I thought all receivers for pay TV are sold with a CAM but, according to what I read, it is not the case.
So my first question is: are all PCI cards supplied with a CAM?

Q2) I also thought the CAM of those receivers directly received the subscription card but it seems the CAM needs a CI to receive the card. Having seen a few (rather small) pictures of those PCI cards, it looks like they have a gadget suitable for the insertion of a card.
My question is: Is that all the hardware required to allow the PCI card to work after its insertion, and watch TV?

Q3) According to what I read, not all PCI cards have a "tuner" and some are only a tuner.
My question are: what do I need? Do I need other hardware (on the pc)?

Q4) Some article suggest to go for a "budget" PCI card because the PC is well capable to do the decoding and it is a waste of money to buy a PC card that has that capability.
Is this correct?

Q5) Is it possible to find a PC card with 2 slots for subscription cards, a PCI card suitable to watch Optus Aurora or Selectv or should I install 2 PCI cards.

Q6) Would it be much cheaper to purchase one receiver able to work with 2 subscription cards.

Q7) Is the audio of the pc suitable? Do I need an "audio module". What is it?

Q8) Could you suggest a reliable brand for whatever equipment you suggest to use? Including a receiver if that is the case?

Thank you for your help.

OS Debian 5.06

*Use the chassis with HD audio module in the front panel to support 8-channel audio output.
