Hi, I was talking with my friend about dual monitors and I was wondering would it be possible to have one on linux. I have GeForce FX 5200 and I'm using Gnome @ Debian 3.1 r0a (2.6.8-2-386). Should I install new modules, or just configure xserver-xfree86 ?
That's that's no problem at all. you can either use the built in TwinView functionality in the driver from nvidia.com or use Xinerama, which is a nicer logical configuration but (afaik) at the slight expense of speed. The Xinerama howto at tldp.org should help you get the job done.
Ok, now im this far as configuring the TwinView function, im just wondering how will I get the other screen have a 1024x768 screen, when my other screen is 1280x1024
