DSL USR 8500 modem help

I'm trying to set up the internet connection for a converted-from-winblows-to-linux machine connected to the world with a US Robotics USR 8500 DSL modem. I've been searching for info about how to do that, no success. AFAIK this modem has no linux support from USR. Please help. Thanks in advance.

If anybody is looking for drivers, the USR 8500 is supported by the
"eciadsl" driver,

http://eciadsl.flashtux.org/index.php

(in french but with english documentation)

Thanks anyway.
