DRAC like option for Laptop?

I have a laptop that frequently gets used to VPN somewhere that sets up non-split-tunnel VPN on the laptop. Therefore, I cannot RDP or VNC to it.

Is there a hardware solution to be able to connect to this laptop while it is like this? Perhaps something like a Dell DRAC for laptops?

Thank you.

Breaking into a VPN'ed system does wreck the whole security issue.

Can you add on a usb nic to then make a new route?
