Does Linux work with Wii Remote Control?

I need some InfraRed camera. I think it'll be good if I will be using the Wii Remote Control as my IR camera.

Is there someone who has Wii remote control? Does it work with Linux as IR camera?

I'm using Gentoo Linux.
I wanna do something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0awjPUkBXOU

You can use a Wii remote under Linux, and in fact a good deal of the Wii-related software is developed for Linux in the first place. Although all of Lee's software is Windows-based as far as I am aware.

Thank you for the answer!
I know that the software is Windows-based but I don't want to use his software I want to write my own programs which will work with an IR camera. (such a Wiimote which has an IR camera and can be connected via bluetooth). I am a programmer who want to work with an IR camera

I know many people who have many problems with different webcams under Linux. That's why I answer if Wii remote works under Linux as IR camera...

But.. what packages (or drivers) do I need to start working with the Wiimote's IR camera?
