Desktop Position

I am using red hat 9 and have a geforce 2. My desktop is about 6 pixels to the right from where it should be. I tried to just a just the monitor but it was as far to the right as possible. Windows works fine with the it. The monitor is a Gateway FPD1520.

I am completely new to Linux.

try using xvidtune,

open a terminal and type xvidtune, the last time I saw it in operation, it gave controls for all the monitor positions, although I'm not sure if it will work on all monitors/video cards.
