Debian can't connect to Internet
Hi there
I installed Debian (kernel 2.4) on a relatively old system which runs on Cyrix mV-II CPU.
During configuration I was connected to an intrAnet and downloaded and installed all the packages (apache, CVS, ...) I needed.
I brought the computer home and connected it to a Netgear wireless (I'm connecting via cable) router WGR614 v4.
The router's green LED indicates a 100Mbps connection in place (at least based on its manual).
When I try to connect to Internt I get a few flashes on the router's LED (means it is trying to connect to Internet) but it stops and and flashes again and ... and of course no connection can be granted.
I tried PING, SSH or tried to download some more packages but nothing worked.
Any idea?
Cheers,
Nic
