Angry conexant soft56k fax modem installation problem


hi all
i have dowload the driver for conexant 56k fax modem and it install succesfully
but when i starts the wizard of internet configuration wizard it did not detected my modem.I am using linux red had 8.0
and i am a new user of it so kindly describe me in detail
thanks alot

Its important to figure out what device the modem was assigned, then you can probably use the wizard to configure that device manually. Type the command: "dmesg" after the modules are loaded and what's the info from the modem look like? It should have been registered to /dev/Stty0 or somesuch.
