Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Cheap, Small, Compatible Printer?

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for printers that are compatible with Linux/Mandriva and don't cost too much, and hopefully have a relatively small footprint. I would be willing to spend more money to get a smaller printer. Used/Older printers are okay.

I really don't know where to look. I tried in the HCL here on the site, but couldn't find any that seemed to match my critera.

Or maybe someone knows where I could buy a driver for my Lexmark All In One X5150?

thanks,

You might want to get info on the HP 3940. Very small and cheap printer, though with photo quality.
It costs in Barcelona around 60€, so it's quite OK.
You can use HP Linux drivers to get it to work.

HP is probably the best supported. I would pick a model you're interested in and double check compatibility in the printer list.
