Hi, I just got the Cendyne at OfficeMax. It's really a Liteon 48246S. I have 2.4.20, XcdRoast 0.98a, cdrtools-1.11a40. I am able to burn at 40x beautifully (that's the best media I currently have). I place the new cdr in my Afreey DVD-Rom and I can read everything perfectly. I can also copy a file from the DVD-Rom to harddisk no problem. XcdRoast reports the firmware as SS02. I am planning to flash to the S08 firmware (OC for 52x) as soon as I make a DRDOS boot disk for flashing. The problem is:

When I mount the newly burned CDR in my 48246S, I get a lot of Input/output errors (especially for large files) when I try and read or copy files. So I can burn on the 48246S and then read on my DVD-Rom, but I can't read on the burner that made the disk!

Any ideas?

I get the following errors in kern.log when I try and read a long file on the CD writer. Everything reads fine on the DVD-Rom.
