cdrom question


i was wondering if there is a way to open and shut cdrom drive with out touching open button

u can use command in terminal as follows for that first find its dev name example /dev/hdc then use eject /dev/hdc

In gnome there is a mount utility you can add to your bar. Once added, clicking on the drive of your choice shows a submenu which includes and eject option.
