my burner is not working in K3B, i'm using KDE 3.1. i don't know the command line to fix this in konsole, i don't know how to set it to scsi that's what i've been told.
I'll assume you're using LILO as boot loader (if it's GRUB I don't know how to do it) you should edit the /etc/lilo.conf file and put an entry like this there:
append="hdc=ide-scsi"
change hdc for the actual IDE where your writer is connected to.
(hda -> primary master IDE, hdb -> primary slave IDE, hdc (in which my writer is) -> Secondary Master IDE , hdd -> secondary slave IDE)
