CD Burner Issues

Any help that anyone can give me on this would be greatly appreciated.

I have a CD burner and a DVD burner, both of which worked in Mandrake 9.2. I upgraded to Mandrake 10.0 and now, whenever I try to use the Nautilus CD Burning it gives me the following message box:

Title: "Insert blank media"
Message: "Please insert a blank media in the drive tray."

There is a blank CD in the drive. dmesg gives me the following output:

cdrom: pid 27202 must open device O_NONBLOCK!

Obviously, the pid changes. cdrecord -scanbus gives the following output:

Cdrecord-Clone 2.01a26-dvd (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2004 Jörg Schilling
Note: This version is an unofficial (modified) version with DVD support
Note: and therefore may have bugs that are not present in the original.

So I ran

cdrecord -v dev=ATAPI:1,0,0 speed=24 image.iso

from the command line and it worked fine. Appearantly the kernel and burner are Ok, I must be having config issues in Gnome?
