camera problems..

the camera, a nikon coolpix 885 which should use the usb MSD, i get a folder under /mnt named removable, but nothing is in there, and i cones up in diskdrake, as an unformatted partition, but i think the camera uses its own partition table. i have loaded the drivers for it in mandrake control panel, but when i select test, it says cannot detect camera...

Try getting the device name with: dmesg | less
You'll get something alot of output. Pay attention to usb entries. You'll get something like sdb1.
When you get the device name do: mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/camera
Let me know if that works
You're OS and your camera may refer to the device by different names. If that's the case make a symbolic link or rename the device.
