Building a Computer

OK I've decided to build a computer. I'd like to know if this stuff will all work in Linux:

Asus P4P800-X Socket-478 I865PE ATA - Sound Lan USB2 800FSB SATA Retial Box

Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz Prescott Skt478 FSB800 1MB Cache Retail Boxed CPU With 3 Year Warranty

Western Digital Caviar SE 80GB SATA150 7200rpm 8mb

Corsair (VS1GBKIT400C3) 1024MB (2 x 512MB Matched Pair), DDR400 / PC3200, non-ECC, Unbuffered, CL3, Lifetime Warranty

Samsung 16x48 IDE DVD-ROM Drive - Retail Box

Sony OEM 3.5 Floppy Drive

XFX Geforce Mx4000 64MB DDR AGP8x TV-Out Retail Box

Is all that stuff compatable with Linux? Will there be any problems?

Thanks in advance.

big reatilers also maintain compatability lists

why don't you start by making an effort, rather than expecting [us] to look this up for you, so you don't get ticked off at anybody here who tried to help but overlooked something...

suggest:
--post with something like: "i see that the Western Digital Caviar SE 80GB SATA150 7200rpm 8mb HD i'm trying to purchase might have some problems under FC3... i've looked on the HCL, but can't find anything. does anybody know how else i can try to find out if it is supported?"

--don't just copy/paste a full HW spec-out, and expect some lacky to get his jollies from looking that kind of crap up.

...just my opinion...

Yes, but on-board junk will not work such as the NIC, sound, and SATA.

Do not get Prescott core because it sucks and it becomes hot enough to make scrabbled eggs.
