i have a Brother printer mfc j series and it's not printing the PDF files in reverse, i want it to print from last page to first so that the last page is at the bottom and the first is on the top. i tried printing it in document viewer, chrome and adobe (in adobe reader it won't print at all unless there's less than 5 pages) i tried changing it to reverse printing in the printing section of the menu but nothing changed. what document reader for pdf files should i use for printing in my case. it prints text documents and spreadsheets from LibreOffice and OpenOffice from last to first but it's not printing the pdf files from last to first i want to know why
i am using Debian Squeeze and my printer is a Brother MFC-J615W
i just set it up to connect over the network and now it's not printing the direction i want it to print in a remote computer. it printed the right direction in libre office on the host but on a client it prints from first to last. i wanted it to print from last to first so that the first page ends up on top of the stack when it prints but now it's a hassle we have to go to the printer and manually collect each page and wait until the print job is done and arrange them in the right order and staple them together. i want it to be where you only have to just click print and go to the printer and wait til it finishes and then you can collect the stack and staple them together instead we ended up standing at the printer and collecting the papers in the right order while waiting for the job to finish which is a really inconvenient since the printer is sitting on the bottom shelf of a shelf. i really need some help here and nobody else is giving me any help please
well theres a new problem here, it was able to print work in libreoffice in the order i specified for it but now it won't i guess it's the whole printer now, it's easier to tel it to print in revers in windows and have it print in the order that i want it to, in linux however i am going through the trouble of setting numerious reverse printing options, sometimes they have no effect and other times they start printing the pages upside down
other times they start printing the pages upside down
Are all pages in a given stack upside down? I've got an easy solution for that. Hold up the stack of papers, and rotate the whole stack 180 degrees. Then they will be right side up.
that's not what i mean, when i tell to to print in reverse sometimes instead of printing them in reverse the image or document on the paper has been rotated 180 degrees the paper still prints face up like it's suppossed to it just doesn't print in the order that i want it to
