Broken filesystem on cig@r drive

The filesystem on my cig@r drive is broken.

The file system is windows (FAT).
In windows I did a chkdsk which repaired it (almost)
When i look at the drive in windows everything appears to be OK. The drive is empty.
However, when I go to linux and mount it, there is still one empty directory on it,
which i cannot delete.

Attributes of that directory are:
drwxr-xr-x 13366 root root 933888 Jul 18 12:21 mydir

I tried "chmod 777 mydir" but it has no effect

What can I do?

Since its empty, go into LINUX delete the partition and create a partition. Then remove it from the USB slot and connect it again. Next format it in LINUX.

You have to chmod the directory before you mount the USB drive.
