broadcom -_- network card not detected linux mint debian edition-xfce
Just ran a fresh install and love it. but unfortunately and as usual, my wireless card is causing problems. I've got a BCM4312 802.11b/g LP-PHY (rev 01) and its not being detected at all. the only changes I've made in the way of networking is installing the broadcom sta package from synaptic. help!

Okay, I don't see the wl module loaded. Did you follow these instructions?
http://www.broadcom.com/docs/linux_sta/README.txt
Good luck. ;-)

Hopefully this means you (successfully) installed bcmwl-kernel-source.
On Ubuntu you then need to go to "Additional Drivers" to activate it - haven't looked at Mint (for this).
