Bluetooth on Toshiba Qosmio G40 not detected

Hi.

I have a Qosmio G40 with an internal bluetooth that doesnt get detected by any distro other than Fedora 10. In Fedora 10 it works like a charm but i dont want Fedora on this laptop.

I have tried Ubuntu, Opensuse, Mepis and pclos(latest releases)and none of them can detect the internal bluetooth.

I dont know how to get it to work on other distro's. Is there anyone out there that have managed to get this to work/ know how to get drivers for this?

Thanks

First, please make sure the bluetooth device is turned on (Check for: Physical switch, Fn-Key combination, BIOS setting).

Then see if you can identify what sort of device it is. It is likely to be connected to your USB Bus, so post the output of lsusb

My £9 bluetooth USB dongle works just fine with kubuntu 8.84 once I had installed:

bluez-audio
bluez-cups
bluez-utils
kdebluetooth
libbluetooth2
libkbluetooth0
osso-gwconnect

and lsmod | grep blu shows me this:
Code:
bluetooth 61028 7 rfcomm,l2cap,hci_usb
