Best Laptop for linux


Hi guys! Im planning to buy a new laptop and Im interested with Dell Inspiron 4150 do you think this is a good one for linux cause Im planning to install RH8 and Slackware on it. So can you please give me a good laptop that is compatible with linux and can give me a good performance or other suggestions please.... Thanks in aadvance!

I prefer Gateway's over Dells in the laptop section. They seem to be a little less proprietary on the hardware, than dell.

Hey, Kris! Inspiron 4150 is what I've got. Got no complaints (at least not anymore). There is a minor screen problem: when I close the lid and open it back, the screen goes fuzzy. It can be resolved by switching into text mode and back.

Another (major) problem was
that the comp used to overheat so that I had to turn it off. This problem
got mysteriously solved after I upgraded memory from 256M to 384M.
