Audio Video Transmission

Hi I'm not sure exactly what product I'm looking for, but I want it to be compatible with Linux so I'm just as well asking here as anywhere!

What I want to do is to setup a desktop PC in my living room, and use it in my bedroom. I plan to do this using a wireless keyboard and mouse for input and audio/video transmitter (such as those usually used to transmit to your TV) for output.

I've chosen the input devices already, and want advice/suggestions on good transmission systems.

I've looked around and everything seems to mention sending movies and audio to your TV but not actually being able to output the computer screen, anyways I've rambled along long enough so I'll leave it to you to comment now, thanks!

P.S: Ideally I'd love to be able to use the computer via these wireless devices and someone else use the computer separately in the living room, but I don't have the slightest idea how to do that!!
